Support

Keepout requires macOS 15 or later, or iOS/iPadOS 17 or later. Its note, encryption, search, link, and graph features work without an account or network connection.

Controls and keyboard shortcuts

• ⌘ N creates a note; ⌘ S saves it.
• ⌘ K opens the action bar.
• ⌘ F searches encrypted chat memory by meaning.
• ⌘ 1 opens the editor; ⌘ 2 opens typewriter view.
• ⇧ ⌘ G opens the graph; ⌘ \ hides or shows both drawers.

AI requirements

Apple Foundation Models require macOS 26 or iOS/iPadOS 26, Apple Intelligence, and supported hardware. Keepout reports when the model is unavailable without blocking note, link, search, or graph features.

Vault access

The vault key belongs to this device's non-synchronizing Keychain. Keepout cannot recover a deleted Keychain item or decrypt a copied vault without its original key.
